Mike Umbro founded FieldView in 2008 and currently serves as Managing Director. Prior to FieldView, Mike specialized in sourcing acquisition targets at Bainbridge Capital, a boutique mergers and acquisitions firm in La Jolla, California. Mike specifically focused on the launch of an oil and gas private equity fund. He also spent time sourcing deals in a variety of sectors for strategic buyers and private equity firms. Prior to his investment banking experience, Mike spent time as an analyst at Morgan Stanley and an equity trader at Evolution Capital.
Mike graduated from Pepperdine University, earning his B.A. in economics with a minor in marketing. He also served as Vice President and President of The Sigma Chi Fraternity, whose efforts were dedicated to raising money and awareness for The City of Hope Cancer Research. An animal lover, Mike enjoys spending free time outdoors with his cane corso, Gianna. He is also a life-long soccer player, beach volleyball enthusiast and recreational golfer.
Allen Du

Prior to joining FieldView, Allen worked in KPMG HongKong and Shanghai offices as an auditor mainly focusing on the telecom and manufacturing sectors. Allen was also recognized with the Best Performance Employee Award at the year-end evaluation. Allen is Knowledgeable of Chinese GAAP and IFRS and skilled in financial analysis under different GAAPs.
Allen received his Master degree of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in finance from Simon School of Business, University of Rochester. Allen holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Allen is a CFA level 2 candidate, he is fluent both in Chinese and English.
Yash Patel

Before FieldView, Yash interned at the National Stock Exchange of India in Mumbai, India, in the Data Analytics department. He worked on a project to analyze the efficiency of Indian markets. During his undergraduate coursework, he worked on the Proprietary Trading and Arbitrage team at Pushpak Bullions Pvt. Ltd., and as a Research Assistant at Excel Mercantile Pvt. Ltd., both companies being based in Mumbai.
Yash graduated from Virginia Tech with a Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering, with an emphasis in finance from the Business School. Prior to Virginia Tech, he earned his Bachelors in Engineering from D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering in Mumbai, where he was born and raised. Yash is fluent both in English and Hindi.
Yash is an avid cricket-lover and a long-time Manchester United fan.
